EPDM siphoned drain connectors are used to connect bituminous roof membranes with drain connectors by preventing odours from rising from the rainwater drains. The slightly tapered tang facilitates installation in rainwater pipes. They have excellent resistance to deterioration caused by the sun, ozone and other atmospheric or chemical agents normally present. The elasticity of the raw material from which they are made allows for excellent flexibility even at low temperatures, enabling the mechanical and physical characteristics to remain unchanged for a long time. The perforated flange improves the join with the bituminous sheaths, while a series of rings positioned along the tang guarantee a watertight seal in the event of backflow along the downpipe. The drain connector is perfectly compatible with APP and SBS type prefabricated bituminous membranes and with coated bitumen. For maximum performance, sandwich laying between two layers of membrane is recommended. To improve adhesion, the drain connector can be pre-coated with a light coat of primer. In addition to the Siphon, the drain connector is supplied complete with a specific gravel-excluder/leaf-excluder guard. The completely smooth flange facilitates the connection with EPDM sheets, while a series of rings positioned along the tang guarantees a watertight seal in the event of backflow along the downpipe. The drain connector is perfectly compatible with EPDM membranes. Thorough cleaning of the drain connector and the synthetic felt is recommended near the connection area to the drain connector.
