Waterstops are used both for water containment in the construction of, for example, swimming pools, canals, aqueducts, reservoirs and dams, and for water protection in foundations in general, tunnels and silos. The type of PVC used allows waterstops to be used on concrete structures exposed to temperatures between -30°C and +70°C, ensuring considerable resistance to ageing, chemical aggression in alkaline environments, brackish water and acid solutions. They are resistant to deterioration caused by the sun, ozone and other atmospheric or chemical agents normally present in air and groundwater. They have high flexibility even at low temperatures. Their mechanical properties remain unchanged over time.
