EPDM Slang EPDM drain connectors are used to connect waterproof bituminous felts to rainwater drains. The slightly conical shape of the tang allows for fast and simple installation in rainwater drain pipes. The perforated flange favours adhesion with bituminous sheaths, while a number of rings along the tang ensure an anti-surge airtight seal in the event of water rising along the downpipe.
The elastic material they are made of ensures long-term water tightness. The top part of the tang has a series of serrations that ensure the leaf-excluder or gravel-excluder is firmly attached to the drain connector. They provide excellent resilience to deterioration caused by the sun, ozone and other weather agents or chemicals normally found in the atmosphere.
They are 100% compatible with APP and SBS prefabricated bituminous membranes and bituminous coats. A sandwich installation between the two layers of membrane is recommended to achieve top performance. To improve adhesion, the drain connectors can be pre-coated with a light coat
of primer.
